Outreach Ministry

Local Personal Outreach

You don't have to travel around the world to find a mission field. Just look around the block or to the person living next door. Our neighbors need life in Christ too!

    So who's your neighbor?
  • A Woman, A Girl Scared To Keep Their Unborn Baby
  • At-Risk Youth In A Dentention Home... or Even Prison
  • People of All Ages In Need of Assisted Living Support
  • People Attending Community Events
  • MBC offers support for individual outreach, such as:
  • Connie Perrin :: 99+1 (The Culver Juvenile Detention Center)
  • Gordon Barker :: West Texas State School
  • June Russell :: Manor Park Retirement Center
  • Earl & Marcie Erwin :: Hallowed House
  • Other outreach possibilites:
  • The Life Center
  • Meals On Wheels
  • Safe Place & Fair Havens
  • Rock the Desert

How Can You Help?

  • Contact MBC People Involved: Find out what they're doing, what kind of help they need. Could be prayer, donations for Bibles, or by getting personally involved.
  • Contact Organizations Yourself: MBC encourages spirit-gifted and spirit-led service. Perhaps you see an unmet need and want to start your own personal outreach ministry.

MBC can give suggestions, some financial support and of course prayer.

Ministry Profiles

Gordon Barker :: Juvenile & Adult Male Prison Ministry

Teaching, discipleship and a strong emphasis on evangelism for boys and men at Midland County Detention Center, the Smith unit in LaMesa, and possibly the Federal Unit in Big Spring.  Immediate needs are for volunteers to do evangelism/discipleship in a classroom setting on Friday evenings at the Midland County Youth Detention Center, and to facilitate/present the Robert Lewis "Authentic Manhood" series in a classroom setting at the state prison in La Mesa at times to be determined.  See boys and men get saved and turn from crime to Christ.

Connie Perrin :: 99+1

"My goal is to share the Gospel with children 11 to 17 years old who are in trouble with the Law. It is our hope to introduce them to their Savior during their stay. For some that are 'repeat offenders', who have been placed in the facility on other occasions, we try to move past the 'Gospel' and into 'discipleship' with them."

Lulwanda Children's Home - Uganda

This facility, established by Grace International Children's Foundation (GICF), opened its doors in December, 2004 and now houses 45 orphaned or abandoned children between the ages of 3 and 7. Some of our own missionaries have visited the home and Morris Ogenga is a board member. GICF is raising funds to cover ongoing operating costs at the home in addition to needing several equipment and facility upgrades. You can help by sponsoring a child on an ongoing basis or by making a one time contribution. Click here for more information.
