Stewardship Ministry

Internships

Purpose

The Stewardship Ministry at MBC is in place to assist you in building an eternal portfolio of treasure and to seek and provide sound Kingdom investment opportunities for the Body.

Giving to and/or through the church allows for corporate wisdom and corporate rewards, the benefit of the Body at work, a great opportunity to make sound Kingdom investments, a chance to bless others, and accountability. We are jointly managing our resources to be approved by the Owner when we give an accounting to Him.

You are invited to join the MBC investment team with your time, talents, and treasure! You are also invited to bring good Kingdom investment opportunities to the attention of the Stewardship Ministry. The Stewardship Ministry is intended to be a facilitator for the Body.

Some New Testament Bible verses referencing money/treasure/material goods:

Matt 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Matt 10:21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me."

Luke 12: 20 But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' 21 So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

Acts 8:20 But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money."

1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 Tim 6: 17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
